A travel document, यात्रा अनुमतिपत्र, is a one way document issued to a Nepali citizen who does not have a passport, so that they can return to Nepal.
It is valid for travel to Nepal only. It cannot be used to travel to any other country, and it cannot be used to come back.

Where a person genuinely needs to be brought home, the Embassy may issue the travel document free of charge.
The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
1. Documents to bring
- A photocopy of your lost passport
- A police report for the lost passport
- Your citizenship certificate
- Two passport sized photographs
- The completed application form

You may also collect the form at the Consular Section.
3. Applying from Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and Timor Leste
If you live in one of these four countries, you may apply by email.
- Email the completed form together with the documents listed above to nepalconsular.kl@gmail.com.
- Wait for the Embassy to verify them. Please do not pay before this.
- Once the Embassy confirms, pay the fee by online transfer or wire transfer.
- When the travel document is ready, arrange a courier to collect it from the Embassy and deliver it to your address.
